It is nearly impossible for any organization to operate without any impact on the environment. Organic farms, wind mills, tidal energy, solar power, all have negative impacts on the environment, and associated carbon emissions. These alternatives, are certainly better for the environment than their traditional competitors of coal, oil, and industrial agriculture, but they are not the technological savior that many are waiting for in the environmental space. That’s why we believe it is important to reduce what you can, and offset what you can't. We know there are other methods of helping, and we encourage them, but we have chosen to become carbon negative, read on to see how.

The following carbon offsets will be purchased on your behalf by Lighthearted Humans on an annual basis at the California Air and Resources Board Cap and trade auction. We do not collect any money, we simply purchase the offsets for you. Prices including an additional $1 per metric ton for inflation are based on most recent auction from the California Air and Resources Board.
